Hibernation . . .

Every year The Green Centre hibernates during December and January. In doing so we are reflecting nature,  recognising the seasons and accepting it is a time for rest and renewal.

Volunteers
We are pleased to announce that Ann Davis won Green Centre Volunteer of the Year and 10 year old Chloe Banks won Green Centre Young Volunteer of the Year.

Bronze Awards went to Jenny Hamilton, Harsha Patel &Lyndsey Haskell. Silver Awards went to Jenny Hamilton, Catherine Pearce, Ann Davis & Georgie MacAnley. Gold Award went to Ann Davis & Norina Rees. Green Champion went to Melanie Rees.

Visitors to the Centre
Your kind donations of items for re-use and recycling helped us raise £5,000 for the Green Centre. Thank you. 15,000 people  participated in Green Centre activities.

New projects this year included the Mile of Potatoes funded by The Green Insurance Company, the Virtual Eco Tour funded by The Body Shop Foundation, the Rag N'Bone funded by the East Brighton Trust and the Eco Club funded by Children Can Do.
